Stanhope Gate

January 2024

Piling is now drawing to an end at Stanhope Gate which will kick off the excavation of the new double basement below the lower ground floor. Pre-piling we had to break out and remove 90m3 of 1500mm thick concrete using the latest robotic technology.

Our top-down programme is allowing us to be completing the lead roof finishes above the newly built level 6 duplex and installing the steel stair structure through levels 1 to 5.

Phene Street

December 2023

We have now completed the groundworks stage which extended the basement level into the garden, alongside the lowering of the basement slab.

We are now working top/down and bottom/up, with the removal of the main roof in preparation for new and first fix from basement level up.

With party wall awards concluded in February, work began in earnest with demolition and temporary works.

We are currently excavating the lower ground floor to the piling formation level whilst simultaneously beginning installation of the roof steels, enabling our top-down programme to fully commence. The internal works follow on in the brand-new level 6 whilst we continue excavating and forming the new basement below the existing lower ground floor.

Completion for the shell and core element due to complete in July 2024.

Albion Street

June 2023

We are delighted to have been appointed by a private client to undertake a complete restoration and alteration of this listed property, to work more effectively as a family house whilst retaining the principal of the original floor plan and restoring the primary rooms.

Externally we are restoring the original front elevation to retain the current period features and on the rear elevation demolishing the unsympathetic 20th Century extension to be replaced by a new closet wing. Internally we are reconfiguring the lower ground floor to add two new ensuite bedrooms and fitting out all floors to create a luxurious and timeless family home.

Lando is pleased to have been appointed by a Private Client on this period residential property.

The proposed alterations seek to improve the property both inside and out, to include extending the Lower Ground Floor to increase internal GIA, removal and replacement of the unsympathetic 2-storey extension at the rear, replacement roof, restoration of the original Georgian façade, and internally, structural alterations to enhance the internal layouts leading to a sensitive fit-out.

Grosvenor Crescent Mews

Lando is delighted to have just completed the refurbishment of a 4,000 sq ft mews house in Grosvenor Crescent Mews, Belgravia. Works included a basement extension, remodelling of the interior and full fit-out.

St George’s Hill

September 2022

Project Condor is the latest project that Lando has been instructed on as main contractor. 

It involves a bespoke luxury residence of 15,000 square feet in one of the most desirable areas in the South East of England, St. George’s Hill in Weybridge. We are currently awaiting planning approval for a 3-storey dwelling, including a basement level with yoga studio, gym, cinema, swimming pool and underground parking for 5 cars. The building will be set in over two acres of soon to be beautifully landscaped grounds.

Works have begun with site setup and initial tree clearance.

New Office

July 2022

At the start of July 2022, we relocated the Lando office from Vauxhall to Belle House in Victoria.

Our new office has allowed us to accommodate our growing team, as well as position ourselves centrally, bringing us closer to many of our central London projects.

The team are thrilled with the new facilities offered at Belle House, including spacious lounges, showers, private phone booths, kitchens and gym access at Thomas House, just a stone’s throw away.

Stanhope Gate

Lando is pleased to have been appointed to undertake the conversion of a large commercial building to a mixed-use scheme of high-end residential and medical use in Mayfair. The works involve basement and roof extensions, substantial internal reconfiguration and full fit-out.

Stanhope Gate was originally a 6-storey residential property in Mayfair but for the most recent years was a commercial building. 

We are adding a further basement below the existing 6 storeys and a further floor for the duplex penthouse, making a total of 8 floors. The current scheme is one penthouse duplex with four luxury lateral apartments, three commercial levels and a basement floor for plant.

The site is fully mobilised with the strip out and demolition underway and we are in preparation for the extensive temporary works and groundworks to commence.
